October 3-4, 2026 -  Two-day whitewater technique course for Class II and III paddlers. 

Program

The course aims to improve technique and line selection on Class II and III water. We will work on whitewater techniques, water reading and trajectories, both on the slalom course and beyond. 
The techniques covered may include: 

  • boat control through torso movement
  • weight shifting to manage the current
  • bracing and stability 
  • boof 
  • eddy entries and exits
  • lines, anticipation and river reading

Who it's for

The course is aimed at Class II - III paddlers. "Level" refers to the grade on which the paddler feels confident and secure. 

Organization

  • two course sessions, divided according to the group's skills, with a maximum of 5-6 people per group. 

The course takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, 2026, meeting at Valstagna at:

  • 9:30 AM for the first group
  • 12:30 PM for the second group.

On Sunday the course will end for everyone by 3:30-4:00 PM. 

The course lasts 3 hours per group.  Groups will be formed based on individual skills and communicated shortly before the course. 

 

Logistics

In Valstagna you can sleep in a van or camper at the put-in parking lot, or find accommodation (Calieroni, Mondo, Hotel Contarini, Rafting Hotel).

A group dinner is planned for Saturday evening (optional and not included). 

  

Cost and availability

The course costs €120 for CCBO members.  €140 for non-members (2026 membership card included).
